After qualifying as a chartered accountant, I joined Educor Limited as the Group Financial Director. I then moved to Standard Bank and was employed in various senior executive positions. In 2010, I was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Peregrine, and, in 2017, as its Group Chief Executive Officer. My two favourite hobbies, boxing and long-distance running, have taught me valuable lessons in leadership.

During my journey with the company, I have brought new clients on board, managed high-net-worth portfolios, and worked in the joint venture between Citadel and Deloitte. I was also seconded to London for almost four years as portfolio manager. On weekends, I spend time with family, friends, and play golf.

I joined Citadel as a wealth manager in 1996, and have subsequently taken on several executive roles – including Managing Director and head of the investment team. I started my career as a teacher, lecturer and associate professor. In 1991, I completed my Doctorate degree in Economics, at the University of Johannesburg (previously the Rand Afrikaans University, or RAU). In 1993, I was appointed Chairman of its Economics Department. I enjoy spending time with my family and reading.

When not at work, I am training for the ironman.

I joined Citadel in 2001. My leadership style is people-centric and I have built my expertise working closely with my team, advising and providing guidance to many of Citadel’s clients. This includes all aspects of personal planning – financial, investment and fiduciary needs. Outside of work, my core focus is my family, and, on most weekends, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors and supporting my
daughters on the side of a sports field.

I began my relationship with Citadel in 1999 as an external consultant, and was subsequently approached to lead the human resources team in 2004. In 2013, I was appointed Director of Human Capital. My responsibilities include the development and well-being of Citadel employees, as well as creating a unique internal culture. I am also a member of the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA). In my private life, I am a proud mother and love spending time with my daughter.
I joined the Citadel Group in January 2018, as Managing Director of Peregrine Administration Services. I completed my chartered accountant articles with Ernst and Young in 1998. My financial services career has spanned 21 years, locally and abroad, with experience across investment banking, asset management, wealth management and investment management. When not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and dog, or reading up on a diverse range of topics.

I joined Citadel in January 1997 as Financial Director. I also serve as Citadel’s Company Secretary. Before joining the business, I spent time at Deloitte in the United Kingdom as an audit manager before returning to Deloitte in South Africa. I initially qualified as a chartered accountant in 1992 after obtaining a BCom (Hons) degree from the University of Pretoria. In my spare time, I am an avid rugby spectator and love spending time outdoors.
DIRECTOR AND CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
I joined Citadel in 2018 after a 14 year corporate finance career. After graduating from the University of Cape Town, I spent 7 years at Merrill Lynch in London, where I cut my teeth on M&A transactions and capital raisings. During this time, I also completed a mini-MBA course at Wharton University in Philadelphia and received investment banking analyst training in New York. I moved back to South Africa in 2013 and joined the Africa corporate finance team at Standard Bank. Prior to joining Citadel, I worked in the corporate finance team at Deutsche Bank, based in Johannesburg. When I’m not busy keeping my family and friends entertained, I read prodigiously or spend time on my favourite hobby: being a tourist.
