Robert served his articles at Ernst & Young. Once he had qualified as a chartered accountant, he joined Educor Limited as the Group Financial Director. He then moved over to Standard Bank and was employed in various senior executive positions including Global Chief Financial Officer for Personal and Business Banking, Managing Director of the wealth division and Managing Director of Home Loans. Robert was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Peregrine with effect from 1 March 2010 and has been appointed as Peregrine’s interim CEO from 1 August 2017.

Andrew joined Citadel in 1996 and was initially responsible for the estate and succession planning aspects of Citadel’s, and thereafter Deloitte Private Clients’ (the joint venture between Citadel and Deloitte), client base. He joined the Wealth Management division of Citadel in 2001 and took over the running and responsibility for the Wealth Management division as Head of Wealth Management in 2010. In 2012 he was appointed as a Director and on 1 April 2013 as Citadel's Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in the field of personal financial planning and is a member of the Financial Planning Institute and the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA). He represents Citadel in the ASISA Intermediary Remuneration Review Working Group, as well as the ASISA Marketing and Distribution Board Committee.

BM joined Citadel as a wealth manager in 1996. From 1997 to 1999 he took on the position of Citadel’s Managing Director. He then accepted the position of CEO of Deloitte Private Clients, a joint venture between Citadel and Deloitte, from April 1999 to 2005. In 2005, BM was appointed Managing Director of Citadel Wealth Management, and in 2010 he took over responsibility for the investment team. While working as a teacher, BM obtained his Honours and Masters degrees in Economics at the University of the Free State in 1987 and 1989 respectively. In 1988, he took on a lecturing post at the Economics Department of the University of Johannesburg (previously the Rand Afrikaans University). While lecturing he completed his Doctorate degree in Economics in 1991, with a thesis on international economics. In the same year he was promoted to Associate Professor at the university. In 1993, The University of Johannesburg appointed BM Chairman of their Economics Department.

In 2010, George joined the CAM team as Head of South African Portfolios. He started his financial market career in the capital market in 1988, specialising in derivatives. This led him into the world of structured products. After visiting various trading floors in the United States George became a member of the JSE and launched his career as a proprietary trader. He then went back into banking as an arbitrageur and risk manager. In 2003, George joined the Eskom Pension Fund, where as Chief Dealer and Investment Manager he handled asset allocation, manager selection, tactical overlays and index tracking. George has experience as a banker, stock broker and fund manager. He represents Citadel on the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA) Investment Board and Fixed Income Standing Committees.

Ian is now involved in advising Citadel’s ultra high net worth clients and managing the Johannesburg office. On weekends Ian enjoys catching up with his family, playing golf and spending time with friends.

More recently, his role within the Citadel group has been extended to include heading up Citadel's Wealth Planning unit, which is a specialist team of advisors around the country who serve the needs and requirements of prospective clients. On a more personal level, John is married and has three daughters who keep him very busy in every way. John and his family love travelling together and broadening their horizons. John believes this has been an important part of deepening their relationships over time. They love the outdoors, in particular trail running, John and his wife are also known to venture out into the longer distance and higher endurance aspects of the sport.

Marina began her relationship with Citadel in 1999 as an external consultant and was consequently approached to lead the Human Resources team in 2004. In April 2013, Marina was appointed Director of Human Resources. Marina’s responsibilities include the development and well-being of Citadel staff and creating a unique internal culture within the company. Marina represents Citadel on the ASISA Transformation, Skills Development and Education Board Committee and also oversees skills development, transformation, recruitment and personal profiling. She is also a SABPP Master HR Professional. Before joining Citadel, Marina ran her own psychology practice for ten years.

Nic has a passion for surf-ski paddling, fly-fishing, the bush and playing his guitar.

Brian has been a member of the Citadel board since 2016. He is the Managing Partner of RSM South Africa, a director and past chairman of RSM International and a founding member and past chairman of Consolidated Financial Planning, which was acquired by Citadel on 31 December 2015. A qualified chartered accountant, with post graduate qualifications in taxation, Brian is a member of both the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors. He acts as an advisor to a number of corporate entities and family-owned businesses, but his main focus is consulting on mergers and acquisitions and advising on corporate restructuring.
