I have 26 years financial service industry experience, but I launched my career as an engineer with a BSc (HONS) in applied geology and geomechanics. I worked as a consultant in the oil industry, before immigrating to South Africa in 1982, where I worked on numerous regional engineering projects. In 1991 I joined Liberty Life and occupied various positions during my tenure with the company. I was promoted to Divisional Manager establishing the new Liberty Franchise Academy in 1998, and then in 2002 I took responsibility for the sales and management of Liberty Agency division. In 2004, I moved to Professional Provident Society (PPS) as National Sales Director, as well as Director of PPS Marketing Services Ltd and PPS Namibia Ltd. During this time I was also responsible for the marketing division and short term Insurance business for the organisation. I completed the Management Advancement Programme with Wits University in 1990, became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 1999 and completed the Senior Leadership Development Programme at Manchester University in 2000. I am currently serving as Chairman of the FPI Risk Competency Committee.
Employee Benefits Consultant
I joined the Citadel family in April 2017 as an employee benefit consultant. I have been fortunate to have worked for a number of reputable organisations during my 18 year career in the retirement fund industry. I currently work on institutional and corporate funds assisting clients with benefit design, member communication, administration and investment consulting. I am married, and mum to a three year old. As a family, we love spending time exploring the outdoors.

I have attained my Certificate of Proficiency and RE5 qualification and is currently studying towards my CFP® qualification. More than 14 years’ experience in the financial services industry has given me a wealth of knowledge. I have fulfilled a number of positions in the industry ranging from admin, client services, new business development, marketing, sales and consulting. Before joining the team I worked as a new business specialist and client service specialist on the Sanlam Umbrella Fund and then joined Momentum MMI Group in 2012 as an employee benefit specialist. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my son.
Citadel Employee Benefits Consultant: Corporate New Business
After gaining seven years’ experience driving value through building and maintaining robust relationships and acquiring new clients, I joined the Citadel team in October 2018 as an Employee Benefits Consultant in the Corporate New Business space. I look forward to injecting my passion for enriching the lives of others into my client relationships at Citadel by helping to guide families and individuals through their financial journey. For me, creativity and dynamism in consulting must be married with a proven track record of consistently handling new and existing clients with care to ensure sustainable growth and bring value. Prior to joining Citadel I worked at both Alexander Forbes and Liberty. After completing my BCom in 2010 I joined Alexander Forbes as a graduate trainee rotating within the business from employee benefits to financial planning to human resources. After the completion of the graduate programme I moved into a permanent role as a servicing consultant at Alexander Forbes Financial Planning Consultants before shifting towards employee benefits consulting within the Alexander Forbes Retirement Fund Division. In 2015 I joined Liberty as a financial planner. A firm believer in life-long learning, I am currently completing a postgraduate diploma in financial planning through Milpark Business School.
