Lucan joined the Citadel team in November 2016 as a Group Platform Services Administrator. Two years later, after completing his B.Com qualification – which he obtained the hard way: by studying part time – he secured a role as a Trader at Citadel.
With 12 years of financial experience, Lucan is ideally suited to this dynamic position which combines his interest in adding value to client portfolios with his passion for working with numbers in the exciting world of stock exchanges. He has a gift and a fascination with financial instruments which, together with his affinity for numbers, certainly supports the requirements of this demanding position.
Lucan began his career in the financial services sector in 2007 at Auto & General. In 2008 he moved to Wesbank, working in their vehicle finance division. In 2009 he joined Old Mutual where he held various roles, including working as a healthcare broker, a financial advisor, service care agent and a senior administrator in the wealth division.
A husband and father of one, Lucan loves to spend his downtime with family and friends. He is totally absorbed by wheels and gadgets, so he enjoys all things motoring. He is also keen on DIY so, much to his wife’s delight, he is quick to jump in when anything needs ‘fixing’.
