I am passionate about educating my clients with respect to their savings, income, risk and investments, providing them with analysis into financial situations in order to determine risks, rewards and opportunities. My experience lies in supporting the delivery of new and existing products and business enhancements which enable individuals and organisations to improve their quality and productivity. Over the years I have developed a commercial approach to solving problems and developing business; supported by my focus on independent research, initiative, self-motivation and the development of a wide range of skills. In addition to my role at Citadel, I have achieved my RE5 from the Financial Planning Institute. I plan to achieve CFA Level 3. Outside of work I enjoy surrounding myself with my loving friends and family.

After two years I moved on to Service Consultant position and after 2 years I moved on to a Sales Consultant position and in 2017 I moved over to a Financial Planner position with Nedbank. Why I enjoy my job? I get to meet all kinds of people. Whether I work with individuals, advise employers on their retirement plan offering, or have a wide range of clients of all sorts, everyone is different, with a unique situation that requires me to come up with solutions to meet their specific needs. I get to dig deep into people’s stories and find out what’s important to them so I can in turn help them plan to preserve those things and protect what matters most to them.
I obtained my degree BCom International Trade and Marketing at the North West University in 2008 and also got my RE5 in 2011 through Leselo. I have a wonderful husband that is in the construction business and two beautiful daughters. I joined Citadel in November 2018 as a Risk Advisor. In 2015, after completing my B Com in Business Management, I started my career at Discovery Holdings as a Financial Advisor in their Financial Advisor Graduate Program. During this time I completed my PGDip in Financial Planning. Following on from the graduate program, I joined Discovery Financial Consultants as a Financial Advisor for their Top Producing Advisor Team at the end of 2017. With almost 3 years of financial experience under my belt, I made the move to Citadel as a Risk Advisor. The move has allowed me to pursue my passion of helping people to safeguard their lives through sound financial and risk advice. I am currently preparing for my CFP® Board exam which I will be writing beginning of 2019. When I am not at work, I enjoy socializing and spending quality time with family and friends. Over the weekends you will find me watching sport, playing golf or going out with friends. I also love the outdoors and am always looking for new adventures.
I joined Citadel as a Risk Advisor in July 2018. I completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Economics at Rhodes University in 2014. Understanding how the economy works and how its different components have an effect on each other and individuals is of great interest to me. After completing my studies I travelled throughout Europe including Austria, Italy, Greece, Ireland and the United Kingdom which helped me get a more extensive world view. In 2016, I was enlisted as a financial advisor within Discovery’s graduate programme. During this time, I developed a passion for financial planning and in particular risk protection, which has served me well in my role as a risk advisor at Citadel. I love the outdoors and have a particular affinity for sport and travel. When I am not at work, I surround myself with friends and family and try as often as I can to get onto the golf course, the cricket pitch or into the bush.
I became a member of the Citadel family in January 2018 as a Risk Advisor, with the aim of further developing my career through working alongside current and future clients. Coming from a Liberty tied agent background, I am now able to contribute to a platform that ensures the best risk solutions are developed for our clients’ ever-changing needs. Each day further cements my passion for this industry and people, and allows me to draw on the skills I gained during the completion of my honours degree in Industrial Psychology as well as those I gained as a Psychometrist. In working towards achieving “my remarkable”, I plan to complete my NQF 6 followed by attaining my Certified Financial Planner professional accreditation. On a personal level, I am an avid supporter of the Lions rugby team and enjoy partaking in road running events such as the Comrades Marathon.
I completed a BCom Law degree followed by an LLB at the University of the Free State and graduated in 2015. Having worked in the third party claims industry for four years I have seen the importance of planning for the unexpected. This experience ignited my passion for financial services and the importance of quality financial advice. In 2017 I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. My family upbringing and values play an important role in my career and I strive to impart these ideals in my day-to-day work life. This compliments my financial planning philosophy as I wish to ensure that my clients’ and their families’ well-being is well taken care of when they need it most – with retirement, death or disability. Outside of work, I am married to Luke. We love the outdoors, being active and playing sport. We also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I believe there are two things that you only have one opportunity to get right in life; your health and your personal finances. Let them get away from you, and it’s incredibly difficult to turn back the clock. I am in a unique position where I have the opportunity to fundamentally impact people’s lives by ensuring my clients have a well-crafted financial plan. I want to help them achieve everything which they can envisage, no matter what obstacle life may put in their way. I became a Financial Advisor by following a genuine intellectual curiosity for the field of Behavioural Finance. The most underrated skill in investing is having control over your emotions. With this in mind, I am able to work with my clients to overcome the behavioural biases which stand in their way. I am incredibly happy to be part of the Citadel family, having recently joined from Discovery. I have a background in Accounting and Economics, and am a Certified Financial Planner, and a Charted Financial Analyst candidate attempting the Level 3 exam this year. When I’m not studying or working, I spend time with my family.
